6 months with Morning Pages

Some thoughts after doing

the Morning Pages for 6 months.

 

Morning Pages introduced by

Julia Cameron in her book 'The Artist's Way'.

 

Basically, you write whatever that

comes up in your mind for 3 pages

every morning after you wake up.

 

 

One thing I noticed was that

it's like a therapy session.

 

Sometimes, I would start out writing,

'I'm having trouble with ~, what should I do?'

 

I keep on writing whatever that comes up.

Eventually, you start to see a path or some

kind of answer on the page and figure things out.

 

Sometimes you don't know where the words are

coming from, even though you are the one writing. 

The words on the page gives you insight or cheers you up. 

 

A very curious experience.

 

 

Of course, not everything you

write on the page are insightful,

some things are just silly, but that's ok.

 

It feels like getting out whatever that's

inside you, kind of like cleaning a room.

 

It's a cleansing experience.

 

 

It's also a way to get to

know yourself on a deeper level.

Knowing where you stand on your journey.
